Dakota and Casey Pierce had a rough start to what was suppose to be their qualifying day. The boat wouldn't start. So they called Tournament Director Travis Burch of The World Fishing Tour and asked what happens. Unlike most tournament trails you'd just be out your entry fee or forced to fish from the trolly motor. They had the option to go out motorless and stay near take off or pull off the water and move their entry fee to another day. Their choice was pretty easy. Go work on the boat and try again tomorrow. They did just that, but had no luck. So, then came the phone call to Dad. Dad loaned them his boat for the week. That's when the luck changed for their week.
Dakota and Casey smashed them on qualifying day. Then came Championship Day, today, where Dakota and Casey took home the title against nine other Bull Shoals Hammers. They weighed in 16.68 which was enough to beat this stacked field of Bull Shoals teams.
Coming in second place with 15.91 was Layne Nance and Les Loftis. Rounding out the Top three was John Hardin and Dustin Flippo with 14.04. The rest of the results are below. Payout table is posted on our blog page as well.
The World Fishing Tour had the best time this week with the hospitality of the locals from Lakewoods Resort to Anchor Pointe Restuarant at Highway 125 Marina.
